SIEMENS Centre of Excellence opened

Companies like SIEMENS can help the next generations of engineers be up-to-date with technology, says Mr. Gowda.

Union Minister for Law and Justice D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Monday said that only continuous learning would help an individual to make a mark in the present world of ever-changing technology

He was speaking after inaugurating the first-ever SIEMENS Centre of Excellence in Karnataka at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri, near here.

Mr. Gowda stressed the importance of the ‘Make in India’ campaign proposed by the NDA government and said that companies like SIEMENS can help the next generations of engineers be up-to-date with technology.

Mr. Gowda further said the new technology learnt would help students be industry ready.

Karnataka stands first in producing the best technical experts in the country and MITE with its vision should be able to make a big impact in the technology arena, he said.

A release from MITE here said that SIEMENS PLM Software has provided software grant to the centre. Students would be provided training on using the latest equipment.

On successful completion of the training, they would be given certificates from SIEMENS. Karnataka Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports K. Abhayachandra Jain; Suman Bose, Managing Director and CEO, SIEMENS PLM India; and Rajesh Chouta, Chairman of Rajalaxmi Education Trust, were present.
