Rs. 1.2 cr. for endosulfan victims: Mohan

Deputy Commissioner Muddu Mohan said on Saturday that the State government has released Rs. 1.2 crore to be provided as monthly pension to suspected endosulfan victims and for providing other facilities in Udupi district. Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Mohan said mobile healthcare units would be started and day-care centres would be set up. The Department of Health and Family Welfare was organising health check-up camps in various parts of the district to identify these victims.

So far, 2,039 persons had undergone check-up in these camps.
