Renovated museum of anatomy inaugurated in Manipal

R.K. Pachauri, Director-General of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, and the former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatachaliah inaugurated the renovated Museum of Anatomy and Pathology (MAP) on Manipal University campus here on Saturday.

Chancellor of Manipal University Ramdas M. Pai, Pro-Chancellor H.S. Ballal, Vice-Chancellor K. Ramnarayan, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor H. Vinod Bhat were present. Pradeep Kumar, Dean-designate of Kasturba Medical College, explained the exhibits at the MAP to guests.

According to a university release, the museum was divided into two main sections: anatomy and pathology. The anatomy section displayed the specimen of human body parts and organs. All the organ systems of the human body could be explored as separate entities. In the anatomy section, a large collection of animal carcasses, skeletons and bones were displayed.
