Poojary’s words come true

November 15, 2019 01:18 am | Updated 01:18 am IST - MANGALURU

Upset with the selection of candidates by the Congress, senior leader B. Janardhan Poojary had said that the party was offering corporation Council to the BJP on a platter.

True to his words, the BJP swept the polls on Thursday.

Though Mr. Poojary had said that he need not have been consulted for the selection of candidates, he commented that the choice of candidates was not proper.

Several party functionaries deserted the Congress unhappy with the selection of candidates even as the son of a former councillor assaulted the former Mangaluru City North MLA B.A. Mohiuddin Bava over denial of ticket to his mother.
