Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis said that police personnel have to not only deal with increasing expectations of people but also the stress in their jobs.

She was speaking at the Police Martyrs’ Day function here on Saturday. The names of 370 police personnel in the country, including 12 from the State, who died in the line of duty, were read out on the occasion. Ms. Francis said people come to the police station when they have problems seeking solutions. It was necessary to provide proper facilities to the police so that they can work to their optimum capacity, she said.
