Murder: Man arrested

The Ullal Police arrested Rajesh (35) in connection with the murder of his maternal uncle’s son Narayan (45) in Chembugudde on Wednesday night.

The police said that Rajesh, an employee of a firm in Gujarat, and Narayan, a labour, had had a quarrel over a domestic issue in an inebriated state. Rajesh assaulted Narayan with a machete. He reportedly cleaned the blood stains on the machete and left the place after abandoning the weapon near the body.

The police arrested Rajesh on Thursday. He was produced before the jurisdictional court on Friday which remanded him to judicial custody till July 15.
