Mangalore University will organise an Open House to showcase its postgraduate courses to students and their parents on June 29 at Mangalagangothri.

Minister for Housing and Urban Development U.T. Khader will inaugurate it, according to a university release.

With 25 departments offering 40 courses in science, humanities, commerce and management and education, the “come and explore” programme is being organised for the fourth year in a row. Students can visit the departments, interact with faculty, understand the scope and job prospects of each course, the research that is being carried out and see the infrastructure, laboratories and computational facilities, it said.

All central facilities such as library, computer centre, sports indoor stadium, fitness centre, hostels for men and women, canteen, student welfare office, employment exchange bureau and national-level advanced research centres will be open for students to visit and explore.

Application forms may be obtained from the respective departments during the Open House from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., it said.
