Mangalore National Sorting Hub (NSH) is first among the 89 NSH in the country in the handling of speed posts.

The Mangalore NSH, which covers Mangalore, Puttur, and Udupi postal divisions, handles 15,000 speed post articles a day.

K. Chandrasekhar, Senior Superintendent of Posts, Mangalore Division, said the Mangalore NSH had been on top of the list for the last 18 months.

The ranking was based on the points given by software adopted by the India Post.

He said that the factors that were taken into account while assigning the ranking included: the number of days taken to deliver an article within a city, time taken for the delivery of an article to other parts of the country, handling of the article and instances of wrong delivery of the article.
