‘Made in Kudla’ opens atKadri Rocks Art Gallery

An exhibition of Mangalorean Handmade Arts and Crafts that is under way at Kadri Rocks Art Gallery, Kadri Kambla, Mangaluru.

“Made in Kudla”, a unique week-long exhibition of Mangalorean Handmade Arts and Crafts, is being hosted at the Kadri Rocks Art Gallery, Kadri Kambla, here.

Eulalia D’souza, Ramona Mathais and photographer Yajna were the guests at the inauguration on Wednesday, while Kadri Rocks Art Gallery patron Harsha D’souza gave an introduction to South Kanara Culture. “It is for our future generations that we have to preserve our heritage and culture. Art in every form must be encouraged and displayed,” said Ramona Mathias.

Eulalia D’souza spoke about local art and craft. She congratulated the Kadri Rocks team for conducting this event.

“Made in Kudla” is a week-long event to promote 15 local artists. Jewellery, dream catchers, flower pots, bottle art, among other art items, are on display. The exhibition will be on till October 8.

There is a dedicated photo gallery on Mangalore culture with photographs taken by Mr. Yajna. This will be a permanent feature where tourists can come and have a glimpse of the local culture through photographs.

“Made in Kudla” has been organised by Kadri Rocks in association with Sanchia, the planner. Shreyas Ram welcomed the gathering.
