‘Rs. 10,500 cr. earmarked for education sector, says Acharya

Home Minister V.S. Acharya on Sunday said that the Government had allocated Rs. 10,500 crore for education sector.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a building of the Green Park Central School and Pre-University College, here.

The Government had launched a huge campaign on skill-development this year. It would provide training to educated men and women every year. Both the Government and private schools should do equally well, he said.

MLAs Raghupati Bhat and Gopal Bhandary and president of zilla panchayat Gladys Almeida were present.
