Japanese patient treated for stress-related headache at KMC

A Japanese patient suffering from severe headache and pain in the neck and back has recovered at the Department of Ayurveda at Kasturba Hospital, here.

The head of the department of Ayurveda at Kasturba Hospital, M.S. Kamath, told presspersons here on Monday that Hiroko Tsumura(37), Japan, got admitted for treatment at the Ayurveda Department of the hospital on August 23.

Ms. Tsumura complained of severe headache, stiffness and restricted movements in the neck, upper back, and stiffness in lower back for 10 years. She had undergone treatment in Japan without much success.

Consultant physician treating Ms. Tsumura , Basavaraj, said the patient was being taught yoga , including “pranayama”.
