The boat service from the Malpe tourist jetty and Malpe beach here to the St. Mary’s Island will remain suspended from May 16 to September 15.

In a press release here on Tuesday, Udupi municipal commissioner Anand Kallolikar said that the suspension of boat service had been announced during this period every year as the sea is expected to be rough. Along with the boat service, water sports activities on the Malpe beach too will remain suspended during this period, the release said.
