Inter-collegiate football league from tomorrow

Sahyadri Premier League (SPL), a students enterprise owned by MBA students of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management has organised monsoon trophy— a State-level intercollegiate football tournament—for undergraduate students.

The three-day tournament will be held on the Sahyadri campus, Mangalore, from Thursday and the winning team would get a trophy and a purse of Rs. 25,000, said a release from the organisers. Registration fee is Rs. 1,500 for each team. As many as 32 teams were expected to participate. The SPL would function on the lines of the Indian Premier League and is keen to bring out talents in cricket and football in the State.
