Governor appoints MITE principal to VTU Senate

The Governor and Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has appointed G.L. Eshwara Prasad, Principal of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri, as a member of its Senate for three years.

A release from the collge here said Mr. Prasad has nearly four decades of professional experience with a doctoral degree from IIT, Delhi.

He has been working as MITE’s principal for the past six years and was a member of VTU’s Board of studies from 2003 to 2008.
