Science Centre Director K.V. Rao said that this is the first full-dome film festival at the Pilikula 3D Planetarium, the only 3D hybrid planetarium in the country. Earlier, full-dome film festivals were held in 2D planetariums; there are 17 such facilities across the country.

Mr. Rao said that some of the films will be screened in the two 2D mobile planetariums that will be stationed near the 3D planetarium.

R. Meghana, centre’s Member-Secretary, said that seats may be booked online on Book My Show or by visiting the centre. A special film screening will be held for select students from government schools in the district on Thursday, she said.
