Convocation postponed

Mangalore University has postponed its annual convocation scheduled for May 29 to June 17. This follows the model code of conduct for the gram panchayat elections that comes into effect on Sunday.

The elections in Dakshina Kannada would be conducted on May 29. As the university is located under the of Konaje gram panchayat, those candidates, who would receive their degrees at the convocation, would have to wait for it. The convocation, usually conducted in January, has been delayed for the first time in the recent years.
