Change in train schedules

Some trains have been cancelled or regulated following major maintenance works being undertaken by the Northern Railway.

Train No. 12287, Kochuveli-Dehradun Express, scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 8.50 am on May 8, and its return from Dehradun on May 11 as Train No. 12288 has been cancelled, said a release from Southern Railway here.

Train No.12617, Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Express, and Train No. 12625, Thiruvananthapuram –New Delhi Kerala Express, starting on May 8 would run on the diverted route of Agra Cantonment-Mitha-Chipyana Stations instead of usual Mathura-Faridabad route.

Train No. 12431, Thiruvananthapuram-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central on May 8 and reaching Nizamuddin on May 10 is likely to be by three hours and 30 minutes at Nizamuddin.

Train No. 02058 Tirunelveli–Mumbai CSTM Special via Thiruvananthapruam, Kottayam, Ernakualm Town, Shoranur, Mangalore Junction and Konkan route, scheduled to leave Tirunleveli at 1.30 am on May 7 has been rescheduled to leave Tirunelveli only at 3 am on May 8 due to late running of its pairing train.

DEMU short terminated

Meanwhile, a release from Konkan Railway here said that the Mangalore Central-Madgaon DEMU, Train No. 70106 was unable to move due to axle lock and it was short terminated at Kuda on Thursday.

Consequently, Madgaon-Mangalore Central DEMU is cancelled between Madgaon and Kuda on May 8; however, it would run as usual between Kuda and Mangalore Central.

Personnel are on the way to repair the affected rake, said KRCL and regretted inconvenience to passengers.
