While some rued being under-prepared and not studying the complete syllabus of Biology, others found it difficult to choose between two similar answers.
Reactions poured in after the 2nd year Pre-University students appeared for the Biology paper of the four-part, multi-choice Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to under-graduate medical and engineering courses held on Tuesday morning.
As many as 11,000 children from Mangaluru appeared for CET that began on Tuesday. After Biology, the students gave the Mathematics examination in the afternoon. The Physics and Chemistry examinations will be held on Wednesday, May 13. The examination was being held in 22 centres in Mangaluru, Puttur, Moodbidri and Ujire.
For Vinay Sherlekar, student of Mahesh PU College the Biology paper was tough. “It was based on the NCERT syllabus. The questions were related to some minute aspects in the syllabus,” Mr. Sherlekar said.
Shivaprasad Karanth from the Expert PU College said there was many questions in the paper where the answers mentioned were too similar. “The difference between two answers was too close. It was difficult to choose between two answers,” Mr. Karanth expressed.
