Cardinal expresses solidarity with all in the region

Cardinal Mar George Alancherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, recently said his visit to coastal Karnataka aimed at expressing solidarity with everyone in the region. He was speaking to presspersons after being accorded a warm welcome at the St. Alphonsa Catholic Forane Church. Stating that it was his first visit to the Belthangady Diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church, Cardinal Alancherry described Karnataka as a land that has contributed immensely to the country in all walks of life. It was the home of many religions and had produced many reformers, he said.
