Cambridge Assessment English (part of the University of Cambridge) launched a new Cambridge English Exam Centre at Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidiri, recently.

A release here stated that Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) K. Ramesh Karnik, from the foundation and T. K. Arunachalam, Regional Director - South Asia, Cambridge Assessment English, attended the launch, among others.

Award

On the occasion, the foundation received the award from Cambridge English as one of the Best 50 Preparation centres in South Asia 2016-18 while 162 students received their Cambridge English certificates from Mr. Arunachalam.

Mr. Arunachalam said it was Cambridge’s first authorised centre in Mangaluru region and appreciated the foundation for its initiative to have the centre. Mr. Karnik said the international certificate will help students to set a benchmark in language proficiency. The initiative would inspire trainers and students to excel in language learning and build in confidence.

The Cambridge English exams for schools are categorised for various age groups within K-12, to help and further enhance the speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.

The exams are accepted in various organisations worldwide, the release said.

They also open doors to higher education, improve employability and increase choice of study or work for students.

Cambridge Assessment English is a part of the University of Cambridge, a not-for-profit organisation involved in developing and producing the most valuable range of qualifications for learners as well as teachers of English, worldwide.
