Dasara procession
No crackers will be used during this year’s Dasara procession of the Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple on October 23. The procession will begin from the temple at 4 p.m. Private tableaux will have to join the procession at Lady Hill Circle. Only a tableaux of the temple relating to the god will be allowed to start from the temple, a release said.
Investors’ meet
A tourism investors’ meet will be organised in the city shortly, according to A.B. Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner. It is to provide more infrastructure facilities for tourists visiting Dakshina Kannada. District tourism committee which will meet here on October 31will decide the date of the investors’ meet.
Meeting
A Dakshina Kannada district-level meeting of backward classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes morchas of the BJP will be conducted at Sanghaniketan on November 2. It was decided at a meeting of the party here on Tuesday.
Corporation meeting
The monthly meeting of the Mangaluru City Corporation council will be conducted on October 31 at 3 p.m. Mayor Jacinta Vijaya Alfred will preside over it.
