Lok Adalat

The monthly Lok Adalat will be conducted in the district on July 11 at different courts. It is for settling cases relating to electricity, water supply, postal services, telephone, insurance, health and others.

Library training

Department of Public Libraries has invited applications from those who have passed SSLC for a four-month training in Library Science at City Central Library, Mangaluru. The applicants should have obtained a minimum of 40 per cent marks. Last date to apply is July 20. For details, call 0824 2425873.

Self-employment

D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation has invited applications from communities under backward classes for taking up self-employment activities. The annual income of applicants aged between 18 years and 55 years should not exceed Rs. 40,000. Application forms should be obtained from its district manager’s office at Urwa Stores before June 30 and submitted before July 20, a release said.

Architecture school

A new architecture college, Bearys Enviro Architecture Design School (BEADS), established by Bearys Group of Institutions, will be inaugurated at Boliyar on June 27 at 9.30 a.m. Later, there will be a panel discussion on a green smart city.

RTC counter timings

The counter issuing Record of Rights to Tenancy and Crops (RTCs) at Mangaluru Taluk office now functions from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The arrangement has been made to reduce rush at the counter. If people have any complaints, they can call 0824 2220587 or 9449066813.
