Graduation day

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar, Mangaluru, will celebrate its 5{+t}{+h}graduation day on June 13 at 10:30 a.m. Students who have completed their MCA, M.Tech and B.E courses will be receiving graduation certificates. Rekha Mathews, Head-India Campus Relationships, UST Global, will be participating in the event.

Special camp

Special treatment camp for endosulfan victims will be held in different parts of the district from June 16 to June 20. On June 16, it will be held in Kaniyur in Belthangady taluk, Koila in Puttur taluk, Bellare in Sullia taluk and Moodbidri. On June 17, it will be held in Kokkada in Belthangady taluk and Vitla. On June, 20 it will be held in Panaje in Puttur taluk, according to an official press release.

Checking of boats

The Department of Fisheries and Department of Food and Civil Supplies on June 20 will be jointly inspecting motorised boats at various places to grant permission for fishing. Officials will be checking the records including identity card of fisherman, registration of the boat, kerosene permit book and capacity of the motor used for the boat. Fishermen have been asked keep their boats berthed at the place of inspection. Those who fail to bring their boats for inspection will be losing permits for carrying fishing, said an official press release.

Yoga sessions

The Bharatiya Janata Party will be holding yoga sessions in each of the eight Assembly constituencies of the district as a part of the World Yoga Day celebrations on June 21. A preparatory meeting was held at the BJP party office on Thursday to chalk out the programme on June 21, according to an official press release.

Induction programme

Corporation Bank sent newly recruited 40 probationary officers of the bank for a two-week long induction programme at the National Institute of Bank Management in Pune. On June 10, Chairman of Corporation Bank S.R. Bansal visited NIBM and interacted with the probationary officers.
