Blood donation

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Besant Women’s College in association with Lions Club, Kodialbail, and Tejaswini Hospital will organise a blood donation camp on Tuesday. It will begin at the college auditorium at 9.45 a.m.

Talk on human right

St. Antony College, Naravi, organised the late Faustine Cortie memorial lecture on ‘Human Rights and its Protection’ at the college on Sunday. The late Cortie was a priest from Switzerland who came to Naravi in 1905. M.P. Noronha, an advocate spoke on the subject, a release said.

Hostel for SC/ST

Karnataka Dalita Sangharsha Samiti has urged the government to construct a separate hostel for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students on the campus of Mangaluru University. In a memorandum to the Social Welfare Minister H. Anjaneya, it said that presently the campus had two hostels for backward castes and minority students.
