Booked for not wearing helmets

October 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 10:58 am IST - Mangaluru:

The police booked cases against those riding two-wheelers without wearing helmets, even as traffic moved ever-so slowly here on Thursday.

Two-wheeler riders was stopped by the police at the Jeppinamogaru junction from where they approached towards Morgan’s Gate.

Apart from imposing fine for not wearing helmets, they were also booked for not carrying vehicle documents.

The errant riders could not escape because of the heavy traffic between Morgan’s Gate and Jeppinamogaru.

One rider did try to escape, but was caught by a police constable who ran behind the rider.

The errant rider received a few blows from the constable and the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police for trying to escape from the long arms of the law.
