The Dakshina Kannada district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday launched the ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ wherein party workers would collect personal details of individuals who had expressed their desire to become party members through the recent ‘missed call’ campaign.
Led by Lok Sabha Member Nalin Kumar Kateel and district unit president Pratap Simha Nayak, the cadres visited the house of builder and former CREDAI Mangaluru president Pushparaj Jain and collected his personal details. Later, they visited businessman Dheeraj Amin.
Mr. Nalin told presspersons that the BJP had become the top party in the country. Through the Maha Sampark Abhiyan, the party would get confirmed members. Party workers would explain its objectives and the achievements of the NDA government to the members-to-be, before formally enrolling them, he said.
