The Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Union has assured that good quality curds would begin delivery from Wednesday.

For the last four days, consumers from different parts of the district complained about the sour taste of curds that had been supplied. “Since Saturday, we are getting sour curds, which is unusual. I had complained about it to the shop owner on Monday,” said Mohammed Hassan, a resident of Bendorewell.

Managing Director of the union B.V. Satyanarayana said the problem was due to a glitch in a portion of the cooler that had affected the process of maintaining curds in the required 8 degrees Celsius. This had led to a portion of curds turning acidic and sour.

Following the detection of the problem, Mr. Satyanarayana said they had arranged to get the cooler repaired. “I have checked the curds today and it is normal. This load will be supplied tomorrow,” Mr. Satyanarayana said.
