Bank employee run over by bus

A 55-year-old watchman of ICICI Bank died after he was run over by a city bus near Father Muller Medical College on Tuesday.

The Mangaluru East Traffic police said Balakrishna Moolya (55), a resident of Neermarga, was hit by a city bus bound to Mangaladevi Temple as he was crossing the road around 2 p.m.

Balakrishna Moolya came under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot.

The police said a complaint was filed against the bus driver by Balakrishna Moolya’s daughter Vanita, who works in Kasturba Medical College.
