A large number of children from various schools visited the Indian Scouting Centenary Express, an exhibition on wheels, which has been showcasing the activities of the Bharat Scouts and Guides here since Sunday.
Many Scouts and Guides came for a closer look at the exhibits on Monday.
Models of watch towers, the Thames River Bridge and the Eiffel Tower made by Scouts and Guides were on display.
Two coaches have posters and literature on Scouts and Guides, besides models and handicrafts made by them.
One coach shows the Southern Railway heritage featuring the portrait of the first Indian train, models of at least five engines, including a steam engine and an electric engine and portraits of engineers who were associated with the development of the Indian Railways at various stages.
I.A. Khairanna, District Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dakshina Kannada, said the Railways had always been closely associated with the development of Scouts and Guides in India.
Mr. Khairanna said he had requested the railway authorities to keep the exhibition on wheels at Udupi as well.

The exhibition, which was to conclude on Monday, has been extended till Tuesday evening, according to T.D. Simon, Assistant Secretary, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Palghat, who is in charge of the exhibition. Visitors to the exhibition need not purchase platform tickets.
