Krishna J. Palemar, chairman of Vikas Education Trust, announced to sponsor 5,000 copies of this 200-page book for free to teachers and lecturers in Dakshina Kannada district to help them become better teachers. If needed, he has agreed to sponsor more books to strengthen the education system. Mr. Prabhu said that he authored the book after someone asked him how a good teacher could be defined, which prompted him to think who exactly was a good teacher.

He said when one strives hard to become a good teacher, one need to have four essential qualities: knowledge; the skills to convey that knowledge; the ability to make the material one is teaching interesting and relevant; and a deep-seated respect for the student. Mr. Prabhu also added a few inputs which would help teachers get better and inspire more students with his over 10-year experience in the filed of training and teaching. Mr. Prabhu is the advisor with Vikas PU College, Mangaluru.
