Exhibition of paintings, sculptures

‘Impression', an exhibition of paintings and sculptures, was inaugurated by Gopalkrishna Prabhu, Registrar of Manipal University, here on Monday.

Nearly 50 acrylic paintings and clay sculptures by Srinath Manipal and Venki Palimaru are being displayed at the exhibition, which has been organised by the Cultural Coordination Committee of the Manipal University.

Dean of Kasturba Medical College P. Sripathi Rao and president of the Artists' Forum Ramesh Rao were present at the inaugural function.

The exhibition is open for public view from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day till April 15.

In addition to exhibiting their acrylic paintings and clay sculptures, the two artists will be explaining about the items being displayed and providing training to schoolchildren on acrylic paintings and clay sculptures at the venue of the exhibition, the organisers of the event said here.
