Dr. T.M.A Pai Planetarium will present a Charles Darwin commemorative event on ‘Evolutionary Biology- Re-think Evolution’, at the auditorium in the planetarium building on March 1.
The programme will begin with a talk on ‘Rethink Evolution’ at 3 p.m. and at 4 p.m., there will be the screening of ‘Flying Monsters.’
The talk will shed light on basic and fundamental principles of evolution (such as Darwinism, Neo-Darwinism), and focus on their application in modern world.
The talk will address basic misconceptions about evolutionary biology and discuss how the evolutionary principles can be employed for conservation of biological diversity and preservation of natural resources on our planet.
