38-year-old woman murdered

A 38-year-old woman was murdered, allegedly, by her husband at Borugudde in Derebail in the Kavoor police station limits early on Saturday.

According to the police, Manjula, a labourer, had a fight on Friday night with her husband Sharanappa when the latter suspected her fidelity.

Sharanappa allegedly used a sharp weapon to stab his wife and killed her. Following a complaint by the children, the police arrested Sharanappa.

The police said the couple were natives of Bagalkot district and had moved to Mangaluru a few years ago. The couple had four children of which the elder daughter is married.
