The city police are yet to find whereabouts of a 28-year-old postgraduate medical student from Father Muller Medical College, who has been missing since October 5.

According to a complaint registered with the Mangaluru South Police, Simon V. Vincent (28), a native of Thrissur in Kerala, was on duty at the hospital on October 4.

He went out for dinner after duty along with two classmates and returned to his hostel. On October 5, he did not report for duty at the hospital. When the hospital authorities went to his room, it was open and Dr. Vincent was not there.

The hospital authorities called Dr. Vincent’s parents, who were not aware of their son’s whereabouts. The mobile phone he was carrying had been switched off.

The police said there were reports of Dr. Vincent having proceeded on tour to Goa and Mumbai along with a few of his friends. They are trying to get in touch with Dr. Vincent’s friends, the police said.
