October 08, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - MANGALURU:

About 2,000 persons are expected to participate in the four-day ‘padyayatra’ by Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, from Mangaluru to Yettinahole from October 10.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday Ravishankar Mijar, president, Mangaluru City South Assembly unit of the party said that the 120 km-long padayatra would be taken out to urge the government to stop the project. He said anyone could join the padayatra.

Meanwhile, District Small Industries Association, Mangaluru, has expressed its solidarity with the ongoing agitation by opposing the project. The association said in a release that its 41st annual general body meeting recently felt that the project was unscientific. It urged the government to drop the project as it would create more harm than benefit.
