World Zoonoses Day observed

The Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology of Veterinary College and Research Institute here observed World Zoonoses Day on Monday to create awareness among students and staff of the spread of zoonotic diseases to human beings.

As a part of the event, quiz, elocution, cartoon drawing, essay writing, collage making and photography competitions were conducted for the students.

Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Tirunelveli, P.M. Siva, chief guest of the function, spoke on ‘Emerging zoonoses of 21st century and their management.
