Workshop held for teachers

Cambridge Assessment English, a department of University of Cambridge, organised a workshop for teachers on ‘Multiple intelligence and the roles of a teacher’ on November 1. The workshop explored various roles of a teacher in learning and teaching equation. It also introduced the concept of multiple intelligence.

If teachers can imbibe music, cooperative learning, art activities, role play, multimedia, field trips and inner reflection in their process of teaching, a proportionate achievement of learners in their academics will be higher and is sure to be a progressive one, the organisers said.

Uma Raman, a master trainer of Cambridge Assessment English who conducted the workshop, explained how multiple intelligence can be used in the classroom. Over 40 teachers from various city schools and colleges attended the workshop.
