Vanamamalai Jeer to visit city

The Jeer of Vanamamalai Mutt, Sri Madurakavi Ramanuja Jeer, will be on a three-day visit to Madurai from Thursday.

The Jeer of Vanamamalai Mutt, Sri Madurakavi Ramanuja Jeer, will be on a three-day visit to Madurai from Thursday.

A public reception will be accorded to the Jeer at the Brahmana Kalyana Mandapam in S.S. Colony at 8 p.m. on Thursday. He will perform ‘mangalasasanam’ at Koodal Alagar Temple at 9 a.m. on Friday and then visit the Kalamega Perumal Temple at Tirumogur and Sundaraja Perumal Temple at Alagarkoil. On Saturday, special pujas will be performed at Brahmana Kalyana Mahal, S. S. Colony, in the morning. The Jeer will visit the Nalampuri Temple at TVS Nagar in the evening before leaving for Tirukoshtiyur.
