While it is easy to get bored and lose interest in the numerous revision exams which schools conduct, students should realise that it immensely helps in final preparation, said R. Santosh, who came first in the district scoring 1,185 marks with Tamil as Part 1 language.
“Proper attention should be given to performance in every revision exam and one should analyse where they can score better and prepare accordingly. This helped me a lot in my preparations,” said the student of CEOA School, who scored full marks in Mathematics. With a cut-off of 198.25, the topper aims to pursue medicine and specialise in neurology.
Echoing his views, V. Jothisaran of the same school who stood third in the district, said that consistency in preparation was extremely important. “Long hours of studying also doesn’t mean that one should compromise on sleep and rest. It is important to keep relaxed as well,” said the aspiring doctor, who also attributed his good performance to motivation and encouragement of his teachers.
R. Priyadharshini, another student of the school, who stood second in the district with French as Part 1 language, said that parents too should contribute towards providing a stress-free environment for the students.
