TNUSRB begins recruitment process

A total of 3,653 candidates to undergo screening and selection trials

Recruitment of Grade II police constables, jail warders and firemen posts by Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) began here on Wednesday.

A total of 3,653 candidates, including 1,005 women, will take part in physical measurement and physical endurance tests, which will be held for four days.

The last day has been scheduled for women candidates.

After measuring the height and chest of the candidates, the male candidates will run 1,500 metre race and the female candidates 400 metre race.

The male candidates selected in the first phase will be called for physical efficiency test in which they will take part in in 100 metre or 400 metre race, high jump or long jump and rope climbing. The physical efficiency test for women is 100 metre or 200 metre race, cricket ball throw or shotput and long jump or high jump.

Candidates who clear the test will be called for certificate verification.

Madurai Range Deputy Inspector General of Police, Z Annie Vijaya, who is chairman of the recruitment process, and Madurai Superintendent of Police N. Manivannan were present.

Madurai City Commissioner of Police S. Davidson Devasirvatham, who is the super check officer for the process, inspected the Armed Reserve ground where the recruitment process is underway.
