Three persons detained under Goondas Act

Three anti-socials have been detained under the Goondas Act.

An official statement said R. Krishnamoorthy (33) of VOC Nagar under Perumalpuram police station limits, who was arrested recently for selling ganja, had been detained under the Goondas Act.

A. Arumugaraja alias Raja (28) and M. Ramachandran alias Chandru, both from Melapalayam, who were arrested for attempting to murder their foes and threatening the public, were also detained under the act based on the orders of S. Murugan, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirunelveli Range and Commissioner of Police (In-Charge).
