Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran has reiterated that an influential person was behind Pollachi sexual assault case accused.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, he found fault with the State police who had filed “technically faulty” documents in the court that helped the perpetrators of the sexual assault through the quashing of the Goondas Act invoked against them. The court itself had stated that improper filing of documents relating to the Goondas Act had led to quashing of their detention. Stating that the accused had sexually assaulted several women in Pollachi, he said people had suspicion that someone influential was behind the accused.

“I have been seeking a CBI probe into the issue since the beginning. Don’t the police know how to file documents in proper order in a case?,” he asked.
