Police protection ordered

The Madras High Court Bench here has directed Keezhavalavu police in the district to provide protection for a month to an inter-caste couple since the bride had approached the court apprehending physical attack by her relatives.

On court direction

Disposing of a petition filed by her, Justice C.T. Selvam recorded Government Advocate K.V. Rajarajan’s submission that the bride’s family had opposed the marriage and that the police would provide necessary protection if the court directed them to do so.
