A 15-year-old schoolgirl has moved the Madras High Court Bench here objecting to any kind of move by the accused to settle through mediation a police complaint lodged by her accusing him of having had sexual intercourse with her on several occasions in her hometown as well as his workplace in Punjab.
After perusing her intervening application, Justice K. Kalyanasundaram dismissed an anticipatory bail application filed by accused M. Raja (25), an Armyman, who said he was willing to marry the girl, after she turned major.
According to the complainant, the accused had developed intimacy with her since she was a neighbour of his aunt residing in Sivaganga. He took her to Punjab and exploited her sexually for more than three months.
However, after they returned to Sivaganga, the accused reportedly refused to marry her leading to lodging of a police complaint in April.
The accused was booked under the POCSO Act, 2012 and hence the present advance bail application.
