Meeting held

A preparatory meeting for the implementation of Integrated Financial and Human Resources Management System in this district was held here on Wednesday.

Tenkasi S. Jawahar, Principal Secretary, Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, who presided, said “the Tamil Nadu government is implementing the system by integrating financial and human resource management for effective use of the State’s resources.”

The government can get the State’s income and expenditure on real time basis through this system. It helps in efficient management of the State’s finance. Over nine lakh government employees and over eight lakh pensioners will be benefited.

It has been planned to integrate the office of the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu, Income Tax department, Reserve Bank of India, banks and all other departments in the State.

Theni district has been selected as one of the seven locations for parallel run of IFHRMS along with the existing web-payroll and automated treasury bill passing system. Senior officers of Finance department guided over 1,000 drawing and disbursing officers.

Balachandar, Assistant Collector (training), S.Gowtham, District Forest Officer, Theni, V.Baskaran, Superintendent of Police, Theni, K.S. Muthupandian, PAO, Madurai, D. Selvasekar, Regional Joint Director, Madurai, N.Ravichandran, Treasury Officer, Theni, Sub-Treasury Officers and staff from revenue, rural development, judicial, integrated child development , medical department, police department, school education department and DDOs of all departments participated in the meeting.
