A fisherman from Terespuram here went missing. Police said S. Syed Ibrahim Sha, 42, had gone for fishing along with four others in a fibreglass boat of Jesiah on November 11. Even as they were fishing 25 nautical miles off Terespuram coast around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Ibrahim Sha fell into the sea accidentally as he was releasing the fishnet.
After their efforts to rescue Ibrahim Sha failed, his associates alerted the coastal security group, who are searching for the missing fisherman. Moreover, a group of fishermen from Terespuram have also joined the search operation.
