Members of Madurai Doctors Forum thanked Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for State government’s efforts in finalising Madurai as the place for setting up AIIMS.

The Madurai Doctors Forum met Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at his office in Chennai last week to thank him for the State government’s efforts in finalising Madurai as the place for setting up the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The team, led by S.G. Balasubramanian, secretary of the forum and Chairman of Guru Hospitals, included doctors from hospitals like Janet Hospitals, G.V. Hospital, Devaki Hospital, Nithila Nursing Home, and N.T.C. Hospital.

The doctors said that the setting up of AIIMS in Madurai would boost the healthcare infrastructure in southern Tamil Nadu.
