Detention under Goondas Act quashed

MADURAI

A Division Bench of Justices C.T. Selvam and A.M. Basheer Ahamed of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday quashed the detention of four anti-Sterlite protesters under the Goondas Act. Isakki Durai, Gurubharani, Sivakumar and Arun, all from Thoothukudi, were involved in the anti-Sterlite protests following which they were detained under the Goondas Act.
