Five college students arrested

MADURAI

The Madurai district police on Thursday booked seven students of Madurai Kamaraj University Constituent College in Tirumangalam and arrested five of them for allegedly attacking another group of students inside the college premises.

According to the police, the two groups of students, studying in different groups and years previously, had petty quarrels before. On Friday, one of the groups reportedly attacked the other with bottles, and bicycle chains.

Based on the complaint by one of the injured students, the Austinpatti police registered a case and arrested the students.
