Corporation Commissioner S . Visakan inaugurated a playground, funded by Madurai branch of Family Planning Association of India along with HCL, at Sethupathi Pandithurai Corporation Higher Secondary School at Karimedu on Monday.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Mr. Visakan asked them to actively take part in all sporting activities.
HCL and FPAI have renovated the playgrounds of various Corporation schools, including Pandian Nedunchelian Corporation Higher Secondary School and Navalar Somasundara Bharathiar High School, at a cost of ₹17.50 lakh.
Chief Educational Officer P. Vijaya, HCL Manager Samuel Ebenezer and FPAI president K. Jayakodi presided over the event.
